It’s been sad watching Rubio self-destruct his integrity and honesty for MAGA love. Truth matters, no matter how much he lies. It will catch up to him eventually.

If it is as you say, what explanation is there for this, which pretty squarely implicates state actor conduct in information supression:

Unherd has spun the same narrative as Marco; because it’s coming from them doesn’t make it any more correct. Like Rubio, Taibbi, and Benz, Unherd’s claims rely on the premise that work funded by governments—projects mapping adversarial state narratives—overlapped with other work these entities did that ranked websites. These were distinct projects, with distinct budgets. Unherd doesn’t like the rating it got, but that doesn’t mean that the entities that rated it had no right to give it, simply because they took a small government grant once. This is a bit like a chef frustrated with the review they got in their city’s newspaper. If you’re interested in more you should watch Freddie Sayers’ appearance with Renee Diresta at Vanderbilt University last fall.

Ms. Jankowicz, thank you for this added point about underspecification in Unherd’s statements regarding state funding. I will look up the Sayers/Diresta video that you suggested.
